‘Out with the old and in with the new’
In January 2022 RFE successfully bid for sprinkler upgrade works at Avon Cosmetics Ltd existing manufacturing and distribution plant in Northamptonshire. Avon Cosmetics Ltd is part of the Natura & Co Group, one of the world’s largest beauty brands.
Our work involved the design, installation and commissioning of sprinkler coverage over the plants shipping area roof, including associated wet valve set replacements and corroded pipe replacements. Over the 4 systems/areas we installed, 2400 ESFR sprinklers were situated at high level (roof), providing coverage over the open frame racking.
This was a successful retrofit project with almost all our works taking place on nights, using standard powered access (scissor lifts and booms). Working closely with the client meant there was minimal disruption to their day to day operations.
All works were completed on time and to budget to NFPA rules and standards.
