“High rise sprinkler retrofit as part of an ambitious tower block refurbishment.”
As part of a £2million refurbishment of an 18-storey residential tower block in Leicester, RFe was sub-contracted by William Bailey Ltd to design, supply, install and commission an automatic residential fire sprinkler system.
Although there is no legal requirement to do so, Leicester City Council took the decision to fit sprinkler systems to its residential tower blocks following the Grenfell Tower tragedy.
All our works were carried out to residential life safety sprinkler protection basis – BS9215:2014 category 2 system.
Installing a sprinkler system in the homes of vulnerable people involves addressing additional performance, reliability and resilience measures required.
We were proud to work on this ambitious tower block refurbishment programme and completed all our works on time and to budget.
