Doing its job as intended the sprinkler supressed the fire until the emergency services arrived. They quickly resolved the situation meaning no one was hurt and minimal damage was sustained. Our engineer attended the site the same day and replaced the activated sprinkler head and left the system live. 
 
Probable cause = faulty fridge electrics. It’s reassuring to know that the activation of a single sprinkler head prevented the potential loss of someone’s home.
